Smart Cookie
We ordered take-out Chinese tonight in celebration of the Chinese New Year. The food was tasty, though for me, the highlight of the meal was neither the rice nor the dumplings; it was the uncannily appropriate teaching of a fortune cookie. "Faithless is he who quits when the road darkens" Earlier in the day, I had read up on the myriad physical and psychological challenges of a bone marrow transplant. I have no fear, though, as I charge ahead armed with the wisdom of tonight's dessert.
